Virginia Indoor Winter League
High School and Youth Divisions
Games ONLY - with a POSITIVE DIFFERENCE - No practices

We know there are options for winter league play. Before you decide where to play, compare the leagues.

We are confident the TripleEDGE league will provide the best indoor facility, supervision, player safety, and a more POSITIVE lacrosse game experience.

TripleEDGE versus other winter leagues:
  • Playing Area: Lee District is much LARGER.
         Lee District: 170' x 120'   Dulles 170' x 70'
  • Full sized: 8 meter arcs and creases
  • Goals: Regulation 6 x 6
  • 9 on 9 Lacrosse (8 field players and a goalie)
Lee District allows for this format with no  restrictions and maximum safety. Dulles fields are just too small and narrow to make this format work.
  • Start Date: Starting later allows teams to play in the many fall tournaments and not miss games. The season ends closer to the spring season.
  • Officials: TWO certified officials for all games
  • Supervision: ADULT TripleEDGE Field Supervisors on all fields. Zero tolerance for unnecessary roughness or unsportsmanlike conduct
  • Staff: Positive enthusiastic ADULT coaches and field supervisors will encourage and interact with players
  • "Tip Card": A TripleEDGE tradition Post game messages on competition, sportsmanship and training drills
  • SIX QUALITY games
Choose TripleEDGE - your POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE

The top four VARSITY teams will play for the league Championship and the Katie Abood Memorial Trophy.

The Katie Abood Memorial Trophy
Katie was an outstanding goalie at  Robinson HS.  She played year round and worked very hard to be the best she could be. In 2004, she moved on to play for the VA Tech Club Lacrosse Team.  She was known as a fierce goalie and a tough competitor.

On December 27, 2005 Katie's life was cut short as she passed away from bone cancer.  Each year since, we honor Katie and her memory by having the top four Varsity teams compete for the trophy dedicated to her  -  a strong leader, competitor, and  truly a kind spirit.
