We encourage full teams to enter the league and compete together as a team. This allows teams to gain valuable game experience and team bonding as they prepare for the Spring 2014 season.

ELITE DIVISIONS
We offer Elite Division  within each age group. This will provide the HIGHEST level of competition for ELITE High School and "A Level" Youth teams.

Travel and Tournament Teams are Welcome!

Virginia Boys Winter League
Registration is CLOSED
NO PRACTICES -- GAMES ONLY
Game "only" with a POSITIVE Difference
  • 8 v 8 lacrosse
         (2 Attack, 3 Middies, 2 Defense (2 long poles), and a Goalie
  • Regulation  6' x 6' goals 
         much better for shooters and goalies
  • Limited Body Checking - NOT Box lacrosse
         Protect players from injuries prior to the spring season
  • Seven game schedule including PLAYOFFS
  • Playoffs and Championships for top teams in all Divisions
  • Champions will receive team awards
  • Outstanding players will be honored and receive individual awards

STARTS: December 7 ENDS: Late Feb - just before tryouts

This allows teams to play in the many fall tournaments and not not miss games. The season ends just prior to the spring season tryouts.

LOCATIONS: ALL teams may play at both locations*

*We will work to schedule games at the closest location for teams.

We encourage full teams to enter the league as a group. Players will be placed with teammates from the same high school or youth group. Single players or small groups are also welcome to register.

HIGH SCHOOL DIVISIONS
Based on current school grade
VARSITY(11th and 12 graders)
*Exceptions for players who played Varsity last spring or coach recommendation.
VARSITY Game Days and Times:
FRIDAYS between 5:00pm and 10:00pm
SATURDAYS between 7:00am and 10:00pm

JV (9th and 10th graders)
JV Game Days and Times:
TUESDAYS between 5:00pm and 8:00pm
FRIDAYS between 5:00pm and 10:00pm
SATURDAYS between 7:00am and 10:00pm

YOUTH DIVISIONS
AGE CRITERIA - same as US Lacrosse Spring 2014
Placement is based on players AGE as of August 31, 2013

Players or full teams may play UP in age groups but not DOWN  
*U-15 No older than 14 (as of 8-31-13)
*AGE qualified 9th graders may play U-15 or JV - play in the division you expect to play during the spring 2014 season.
U-13 No older than 12 (as of 8-31-13)
U-11 No older than 10 (as of 8-31-13)
U-9 No older than 8   (as of 8-31-13)

YOUTH Game Days and Times:
(U-13 and U-15 may play some 10pm games)
FRIDAYS between 6:00pm and 9:00pm
SATURDAYS between 1:00pm and 9:00pm
SUNDAYS between 11:00am and 8:00pm

COST
    Early: $175 - registered and PAID before midnight Nov 17
Regular: $210 - registered and PAID after midnight Nov 17
Registration will CLOSE Weds Nov 27 or when SELLS OUT!

NOTE: Due to several Upset Wins on Feb 9 the playoff Matrix has changed and caused changes in match ups and game times for ALL games on Feb 15. Review the schedule carefully for changes.

Many customers are saying they are not receiving emails only to find them in the SPAM folders. You MUST accept info@tripleedgelax.com as a SAFE email address. ADVANCED COACHING - Although the league is "Game Only" with NO Practices the TripleEDGE Staff of College and High School coaches, current and former NCAA players will work closely with all teams. They will share their vast knowledge and experience to help players improve their individual and team skills and raise their overall Lax IQ.

NOVA FIELD HOUSE: "House Rules"
  • SHOES - NO CLEATS ALLOWED Players may wear turf shoes, tennis or basketball shoes
  • CLOTHING: The facility is heated - players may wear shorts - game JERSEYS will be provided by TripleEDGE
  • DRINKS: Bottled water ONLY is allowed on the field - NO sports drinks, gatorade, soda or any drinks containing sugar
  • No chewing gum or food allowed in the playing area
SOUTH RUN:
  • SHOES - Players may wear cleats turf shoes, tennis or basketball shoes.
  • CLOTHING: The facility is NOT heated - players should dress in layers based on temperature game JERSEYS will be provided by TripleEDGE
  • DRINKS: Bottled water ONLY is allowed on the field - NO sports drinks, gatorade, soda or any drinks containing sugar
  • No chewing gum or food allowed in the playing area
The 2012-2013 TripleEDGE innaugural Winter League at the NOVA Field House was by far the largest and most competitive indoor league in the region. Nearly 150 teams from DC, MD, and VA participated. Based on the success of last season and the demand for repeat and new teams to join the league this year 's winter league will SELL OUT quickly!

IMPORTANT LEAGUE STRUCTURE DETAILS
**ALL LEAGUES: Players MUST have played at least one season of organized lacrosse to be eligible to participate in the "game only" league -  NO EXCEPTIONS.
Division structure, schedules including starting and ending dates, and game times/locations are subject to change based on final registrations and field availability.
Players MUST provide their own equipment: stick, helmet, shoulder and arm pads, gloves. We DO NOT rent equipment for league play.

GAME FORMAT
This is NOT Box lacrosse. The size of both facilities allows for a much more realistic game - closer to the outside field game. This will help teams and players prepare for their spring season.

  • Players will be placed on teams with others from the same HS or Youth Group
