SEVEN GAMES - Games ONLY - No practices

Location: Discovery Sports Center Boyds/Germantown MD

Start: 2nd Weekend in Dec End: Mid Feb

Game Days and Times

By popular demand we have secured additional hours on Friday evenings to accommodate more teams. This will allow for teams

closest to the Discovery Center to play on both Fridays and Sundays.

Fridays between 4:00pm and 9:00pm

Sundays between 7am and 11am

**We will work closely with teams prior to finalizing the schedule

to balance game days that are most convenient for them. Most youth games will be on Sundays**

High School Divisions

Based on current school grade

Varsity (11th and 12 graders)

Exceptions for players who played Varsity last spring or by coach recommendation.

JV (9th and 10th graders)

Youth Divisions

Based on AGE as of 12/31/09

Players may play UP an age group but not DOWN

U-15 (14 or younger as of 12/31/09)

U-13 (12 or younger as of 12/31/09)

U-11 (10 or younger as of 12/31/09)

U-9 ( 8 or younger as of 12/31/09) *

Players MUST have at least on season of organized lacrosse experience.

We DO NOT rent equipment for league play. Players MUST provide their own equipment: stick, helmet, shoulder and arm pads, gloves.

Late Registration Information

UPDATE: We are currently processing over 200 late registration requests. If you submitted a request, you will receive and email with specific registration instructions by Tues Dec 29.

There are very limited spots available in specific divisions

Applications will be available on the field. A parent or guardian MUST be present to sign the application and waiver. No one else will be permitted to sign the waiver. All registrations will be handled on a "first come first served" basis.

On field registration Fees: $195

NOTE: On field payment must be made by cash or check NO Credit Cards accepted.

There is room on all Youth Division teams.

Rockville Sportsplex: VERY SMALL

170' x 70' & 150' x 70'

Champions Field House: EVEN SMALLER

140' x 62' and 130' x 60'

"Seriously, The Rockville Sportsplex and Champions Field House fields are way too small and narow to play any kind of beneficial lacrosse"

GAME FORMAT HIGHLIGHTS

Goals: Regulation 6 x 6

8 on 8 Lacrosse

(2 attack, 3 middies, 2 defense, goalie)

Long Sticks: Two allowed on Defense

The Discovery Center fields allow for this format with no restrictions and maximum safety. Sportsplex and Champions Field House are just too small and narrow to play legit lacrosse.

SEVEN GAMES - No practices

Start Date: Starting later allows teams to play in

the many fall tournaments and not miss games. The season ends closer to the spring season.

Referees: TWO certified officials for all games.

Supervision: ADULT TripleEDGE Field

Supervisors on all fields. Zero tolerance for unnecessary roughness or unsportsmanlike conduct.

Staff: Positive enthusiastic ADULT coaches and

field supervisors will encourage and interact with players.
